Dr. Mark Austin
Pain Management Physician
Dr. Mark Austin is a fellowship-trained Pain Management physician specializing in advanced interventional procedures at the Temecula Pain Management Group.
Dr. Austin was born and raised in southeast Michigan, where he completed his undergraduate career at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He further went on to complete his medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in the heart of Detroit, where he where he had the privilege to treat underserved populations. After obtaining his medical degree, he returned to the University of Michigan to complete a rigorous residency training program in Anesthesiology. Finally, Dr. Austin branched out to the west coast to subspecialize in Pain Management at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where he was able to advance his skills by working directly under the supervision of many pioneers in the field.
Dr. Austin is passionate about improving the quality of life for his patients, minimizing their pain, and helping them improve their functionality. He employs a multimodal patient-centered approach to treating pain, utilizing everything from more conservative measures, to advanced minimally invasive procedures. He believes in working very closely with his patients to tailor the best possible plan for each individual.
Dr. Austin is an active member in the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA), Spine Intervention Society (SIS), and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). In his free time, he enjoys miniature painting, cooking, and solving puzzle boxes.
